Scholarship Deadline 13 September 2024

The deadline for applications is 13 September 2024, however, you are free to apply as soon as you have received your final results.

We will award five undergraduate social responsibility scholarships to UK students and three undergraduate social responsibility scholarships to international/EU students in 2024. These awards are worth £2,000 per year across three years of study (students will not receive the scholarship while on placement or exchange). Students on the PwC Flying Start Business Accounting degree will be awarded £1,500 in each of the 4 years of their study.

One of our international scholarships will be awarded to a student who has successfully completed an international foundation year at an INTO, NCUK or other approved foundation year provider prior to starting their studies at Alliance MBS in September 2024.

Eligibility criteria: UK and international/EU students achieving AAA at A-level (or equivalent qualification) who are able to demonstrate a significant contribution and commitment to social responsibility. Successful applicants will be identified via both:

  • academic performance and;

  • a written application

Applicants who exceed AAA and/or have supplementary qualifications (such as EPQ) will receive additional consideration. Your written application should consist of two parts with about 1,000 words for each part.

In the first part, please outline your previous personal social responsibility (SR) involvement in, for example, community-based projects, volunteering opportunities and/or fundraising activities, and explain how they are linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In the second part, please explain how you could further develop yourself and help develop other students in the school and university to become socially responsible graduates (please also include your understanding of the key attributes of “socially responsible graduates”).

The winners of this prestigious scholarship will be assigned a mentor from the AMBS SR committee to help with their SR initiatives, involvement and development during their undergraduate studies at AMBS. They will be encouraged to become an AMBS SR Student Champion, and will be invited to meet the full SR committee once a year.
